مقالات و کتابهای متعددی پیرامون ارتباط دین و خشونت به نگارش درآمده که عموم آنها بر اساس ارتباط میان آموزههای دینی و خشونت، پیریزی شدهاند. تعداد محدودی از اینها نیز به بررسی ارتباط میان تاریخ ادیان و خشونت پرداختهاند. یکی از این نوشتهها، مقاله «تشیع و خشونتورزی در پویه تاریخ» است که تلاش کرده ارتباط میان تاریخ تشیع و شکلگیری خشونت در میان شیعیان را تبیین نماید و درعینحال به برخی از اعتقادات و خشونتسازی آنها نیز اشاره کرده است. مقاله حاضر با روش توصیفی تحلیلی و مطالعه کتابخانهای، با بررسی علل و عوامل مذکور در مقاله فوق، تلاش کرده تبیینی درست و حقیقی از وقایع تاریخی و اعتقادات ذکر کند و نشان دهد که اصل در اسلام و تشیع، بر مدارا و صلح است و خشونتهای بهکاررفته، از باب ضرورت مورد استفاده قرارگرفته است. علاوهبر این، بخشهایی به بیان دیدگاه و رویکرد اسلام نسبت به خشونت در برخورد با ظالم؛ تقدم مدارا بر خشونت و بحثهای ایجابی دیگر، پرداخته شده است.
Numerous articles and books have been written about the relationship between religion and violence, most of which are based on the connection between religious teachings and violence. A smaller body of work has explored the historical interplay between religion and violence. One such piece, titled “Shi‘ism and Violence in the Course of History,” attempts to elucidate the relationship between Shia history and the formation of violence among Shias while also referring to some beliefs and their alleged violence-generating aspects. The present article, using descriptive-analytical methods and library research, examines the causes and factors mentioned in the above article and attempts to provide a correct and truthful explanation of historical events and beliefs. It demonstrates that the foundational principles of Islam and Shi‘ism are rooted in tolerance and peace, with instances of violence occurring only as a matter of necessity. Additionally, sections are devoted to explaining Islam’s view and approach toward violence in dealing with oppressors, the precedence of tolerance over violence, and other constructive discussions.
